Terms of Service
The short version: the games are free, ads are real, we can't promise a number of views, and we'll refund you if we say no.
1. Who we are
Tap Chaos ("we", "us") is a sole proprietorship based in India. These terms cover every game and page on tapchaos.com and its subdomains (for example popuphell.tapchaos.com), together with the ad placement service sold through them. By using the site or buying an ad you accept these terms.
2. Players
- Our games are free to play and need no account. You must be 13 or older.
- Leaderboard nicknames must be appropriate. We can remove or change any nickname and any score at our discretion.
- Don't cheat, automate play, attack the service, or try to tamper with scores or statistics.
- There are no prizes. Leaderboards and the Daily Challenge are for bragging rights only. Nothing in any game can be exchanged for cash, cryptocurrency or anything of value, and no game involves paid entry.
- Everything that looks annoying in a game is part of the game and happens inside the game frame. We don't use real browser permission prompts, notifications, downloads or redirects.
3. What advertisers buy
An ad purchase is placement in a game's rotation for the tier and the dates you bought: a self-serve, fixed-price, automated digital ad placement. The tiers are Classic popup, Premium popup, Boss of the Day (one advertiser per UTC date) and the Credits Wall. They are described on the pricing page.
- No guaranteed impressions or clicks. We don't promise a number of views, closes, clicks or any other result. The statistics we publish are estimates measured under our public methodology.
- Your placement is shown in rotation with other advertisers in the same tier. We decide how popups are templated and displayed. You supply text, a logo, a colour and a link, and we render them in our own designs.
- Prices are the ones shown at checkout, in USD or INR. We may change prices for future purchases at any time.
4. Moderation
Every ad is reviewed before it goes live and must follow the ad policy. We may reject or remove any ad for any reason. If we reject an ad before it goes live, you get a full refund. Refunds are covered in the refund policy. Changing your destination URL after approval is grounds for removal.
5. Licence to display your content
By buying a placement, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display your name, logo, tagline and URL in our games, on report cards, in social media posts (for example a "Boss of the Day" post) and in marketing material about our games. The licence lasts as long as the content is live in a game, and for archived report cards, credits and posts that already exist.
6. Advertiser promises
You confirm that you own, or have the rights to use, everything you submit (names, logos, trademarks, text and links), that your product or service is lawful, that your content follows the ad policy, and that your link goes to the product you described. You are responsible for any claim that your content infringes someone else's rights.
7. Availability
We run the games on a best-effort basis and don't promise uninterrupted service. If a game is down for more than 24 hours during your campaign, we extend your campaign by the downtime. That extension is your remedy for downtime.
8. Payments
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Prices are shown in USD or INR, and Dodo calculates and collects any applicable sales tax or VAT at checkout. Dodo's own terms apply to the payment. We don't see or store your card or UPI details.
9. Intellectual property
The games, the Tap Chaos name, our designs and our code belong to us. Advertisers keep ownership of their own content.
10. Limits on our liability
The site and games are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business. Our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the purchase the claim relates to. Players, who pay nothing, can't claim any amount.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. A change doesn't affect a campaign you've already paid for unless the law requires it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the competent courts in India. Please write to hello@tapchaos.com first. We'd rather fix it than argue about it.
